Biography
NYC-based, Hudson-Valley born guitarist and songwriter Mark McIntyre released his debut album Eras February 2023 under pen-name MM Orchard. In the years prior, Mark developed his experimental indie sound at during his residency at Greenwich Village’s legendary dive bar/music sanctuary the 55 Bar, along with his often 7+ member ensemble, morphing between heartfelt songwriting, hypnotic grooves and ratty punk departures.
Combining ambitious emotional explorations, spontaneous musical fluidity and chamber-pop sensibilities of artists like Bon Iver, Little Dragon and Radiohead, Mark is set to release his second album The Bells Are Ringing Etc in the spring and summer of 2026, which features, along with many friends, the Bergamot String Quartet and a collaboration with film director YuHan Tsai.
As a recording and performing guitarist, Mark has recorded on two tracks on international superstars Romeo Santos x Prince Royce’s 2025 album Better Late Than Never, and co-wrote the track Encerrados. The same year, Mark composed for Kroger’s Holiday commercial Project: Gingerbread, and travelled to Italy with KJ Denhert to participate in the Bassano Music Residency. He has performed on CNN with Billy Ray Cyrus, and is a member of Planetary People, as well as several other independent projects in Brooklyn. Mark has scored 3 indie movies and was the music supervisor for the web-series Gimme A Break, is a passionate teacher, and has travelled as far as Brazil, Italy and Alaska to perform.
Non-musical information: Mark is a nerd at heart, and greatly enjoys his time outdoors.
